WERTHEIMER,
MARJORIE GOLDSTEIN Age 86, of Mountain Brook, died on Tuesday, March 29, 2011.
Mrs. Wertheimer was a lifetime resident of Birmingham.
Survivors include her
children, Barbara Wertheimer Hirsch, and Leonard Wertheimer, III (Janet); four
grandchildren, Gordon Hirsch, Meg Hirsch, Amy Paderewski (Michael) and Michael
Wertheimer (Illysa); six great grandchildren, Jake Paderewski, Alexander
Paderewski, Will Paderewski, Natalie Wertheimer, Kenny Wertheimer, and Sarah
Grace Pauler; and her sister, Mitty Goldstein Scharf. Mrs. Wertheimer was
preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Wertheimer, Jr. and her parents, Gus
Goldstein and Gussie Goldstein.
Graveside funeral services will be held at
Elmwood Cemetery on Friday, March 31, 2011, commencing at 10:30 in the
morning.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to
the Rabbi Grafman Endowment Fund for Temple-Emamu-El, 2100 Highland Avenue,
Birmingham, Alabama, 35205 or to other favorite charities. Services are under
the direction of Ridout's Valley Chapel (879-3401) Homewood, AL.
